<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To edit a pattern prepared by editing in a plurality of editing methods. <P>SOLUTION: An envelope can be edited in a time editing method of specifying a combination of a time and a level and a direct editing method of drawing it, and data on the edited and generated envelope are stored in a RAM 103.
