<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical and simple engine combustion controller capable of controlling combustion in accordance with quality of used fuel and having excellent precision. <P>SOLUTION: This engine combustion controller has fuel specific gravity detection means 7, 21, 37 for detecting or estimating specific gravity of used fuel and is provided with combustion control means 15, 21, 25 for controlling at least one control among fuel injection control, cylinder compression end temperature control, and suction swirl control based on the detected specific gravity of fuel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
