<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerizable composition useful for an image recording material of a negative lithographic printing original plate having excellent sensitivity and storage stability. <P>SOLUTION: The polymerizable composition contains: (A) a compound causing decarboxylation and/or dehydration by heat; (B) a radical initiator, (C) a compound having an ethylenically unsaturated bond; and (D) an IR ray absorber. As the compound (A) causing decarboxylation and/or dehydration by heat, a monocarboxylic acid compound expressed by general formula (I-2) is preferable. In the formula (I-2), A represents an aromatic group or a heterocyclic group, and X represents a divalent connecting group selected from the group consisting of -O-, -S-, -SO<SB>2</SB>-, -NH-, -M(R<SP>3</SP>)-, -CH<SB>2</SB>-, -CH(R<SP>4</SP>)- and -C(R<SP>4</SP>)(R<SP>5</SP>)-, wherein each of R<SP>3</SP>, R<SP>4</SP>, R<SP>5</SP>independently represents hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
