PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of safely replacing a recording medium after recording image data to the recording medium without causing the missing of the image data. SOLUTION: At the application of power by sliding an operation knob 17a of a power switch 17 to the left, a slide member 1661 in a lock mechanism 166 is elevated to set a lock lever to a lock position. At the interruption of power by sliding the operation knob 17a of the power switch 17 to the right, the slide member 1661 in the lock mechanism 166 is descended to set the lock lever 1662 to an unlock position.
