PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera capable of taking a picture with some blur at other than an aimed point (the same as using a large-aperture lens with a diaphragm opened), even using a small-aperture dark lens. SOLUTION: A photographer selects an area involving an object to be prominent in relief among focus areas P1-P5 within a photographing range, using an area select switch 4. Based on focus adjusting information of each focus area P1-P5, a microcomputer 1 actuates a swinging driver 6 to make a swinging state between the normal of an imaging device and the optical axis of an imaging lens unit so that other areas are relatively in an out of focus state, compared with the selected area.
