PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting structure and a method of a cable to an electric connector capable of simply enhancing the conductor contact between an outer conductor of a cable and an outer conductor composing a connector main body portion. SOLUTION: In this structure, the outer face of the outer conductor 4 of a cable 2 has a wave-like cross-sectional shape having crest portions 10 and trough portions 11, an electric connector 1 has a clamp member 13 having a chuck portion 12 composed of spring members divided into two or more along an axial direction C of the cable 2 in a state of connecting of the cable 2, and the chuck portion 12 of the clamp member 13 is tightly contacted with a crest portion 10a of an outer conductor 4a from which a tip end portion of the cable 2 is exposed by taking out by using the spring force of the chuck portion 12.
