PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-soluble metal working oil showing good oil separation, low foaming nature, and excellent rust preventive property. SOLUTION: The water-soluble metal working oil consists of an amine (E) expressed by general formula (1) and a 6-12C monocarboxylic acid and/or dicarboxylic acid (F), and contains 0.5-70 pts.wt. of (E) and 1-30 pts.wt. of (F).
