PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoder, an encoding method, a decoder, and a decoding method for error correction. SOLUTION: The encoder includes a first software encoder for encoding a first software for error correction of input data, and outputs data after the first software encoding; and a second software encoder, to which the data after the first software encoding is input, encoding second software, by which whether the decoding is successful can be known, when decoding, and outputs a data after the second software encoding. The decoder includes a first software decoder performing first software decoding for error correction of the input data, and outputting data after the first software decoding; and a second software decoder to which the data after the first software decoding is input, performing the second software decoding, and outputting data after the second software decoding and additional information, indicating whether the decoding has been successful. Thus, by encoding with a combination of software systems and by iteratively decoding the encoded data, signal detection and error correction performance are improved, without impairing the information.
