PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent shearing of an engaging protrusion even if a different key is inserted into a keyhole so that an inner cylinder can be forcedly turned. SOLUTION: Each lever tumbler of a lever tumbler lock is constituted as a combination of almost C-shaped tumblers A and B which overlap each other; the engaging protrusion 9 is protrusively provided on a side facing the tumbler B at the inside edge of the free end of the tumbler A; a plurality of engaging recesses 11, which can be engaged with the engaging protrusion 9 of the tumbler A, are formed at equiangular intervals on an arc, centering a supporting shaft, at the inside edge of the tumbler B; a key difference is changed by insertion/extraction brought about by changing a relative angle position of the engaging protrusion 9 and that of the engaging recess 11; and the engaging protrusion 9 and the engaging recess 11 are added by each one, so that shearing stress can be borne by the paired engaging protrusions 9 and 9.
