PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing a fall of accumulated snow/leakage of melted snow through a roof, which can be simply mounted without reducing the strength of a projection on the inclined roof and which has a unit structure for receiving snow crystals, and a mounting fitting for the device. SOLUTION: In the inclined roof 10, the projection and a depression are formed in a direction crossing an inclined plane. The device 1 for preventing the fall of the accumulated snow from the inclined roof 10/the leakage of the melted snow through the inclined roof 10 is equipped with a plurality of frame units 20 which are formed in a grid pattern by using a plurality of pieces of rod stock 22 and which are arranged along the inclined plane of the inclined roof 10, and a joint 25 which makes the frame units 20 joined to one another and which is arranged in the projection 12 of the inclined roof; the joint part 25 includes upside and downside holding members 27 and 29 for integrally holding the pieces of rod stock 22; and the holding member 29 is equipped with an abutting surface with a shape following a shape of an outside surface of the projection 12.
