PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a precious metal ornament capable of transferring a unique texture of high design properties possessed by the surface of a bark onto the surface of the precious metal ornament. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the precious metal ornament comprises a prototype manufacturing process S11 for manufacturing a prototype of the precious metal ornament, a wax pattern manufacturing process S12, a wax pattern burying process S13, a wax pattern eluting process S14, a casting process S15, a cast product taking-out process S16, and a completing process S17. The prototype manufacturing process S11 is characterized by having a boiling-up process S21 for boiling up the bark with water, a mold making process S22 for making a mold of the bark boiled by the boiling-up process S21, and a metal casting process S23 for casting a metal into the mold obtained in the mold making process S22.
