PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the usability of a drum type washer/laundry drier controlling such processes as washing, rinsing, dewatering and drying serially inside a rotary tub with a rotating axis in the horizontal direction or inclined direction by disposing a filter device in all the models including a model of a built-in type in a space in a kitchen unit and allowing the filter device to be easily attached/detached and easily cleaned. SOLUTION: The rotary tub 23 with the rotating axis in the horizontal direction or inclined direction is enclosed inside an outer tub 24 for reserving washing water, and air for drying is fed into the rotary tub 23 through an air passage 28. The air passage 28 is guided to the periphery of a clothes slot of the outer tub 24, and the filter device 31 is mounted near the clothes slot in the middle of the air passage 28.
