<p>In a process for monitoring the axial seal of the suction chamber of a suction roller, the seal is pressed against the inner surface of the roller mantel with the aid of a loading medium and locked/clamped in the desired position. The improvement is that the locking phase of the axial seal is monitored by a sensor. An independent claim is included for the sensor device in the space between the bottom of the seal and the base of a sealing groove. Preferably, the sensor monitors the spacing between the bottom of the seal and the base of the sealing groove.</p> |
