the cigarette box has a hinged lid (2) and the cardboard blank formed by the box is integral with the lid. The box side walls (5 to 7) which are not connected to the lid and the lid side walls (10 to 12) which are not connected to the rear side wall (8) of the box are double-walled whereby the side walls of the box are held in position through the peripheral collar (3) which projects up beyond the side walls.
