PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling the SCF(Second Cassette Feeder) and a method therefor are provided to control the SCF by sensing the installation of the SCF and downloading data associated with the driving of the SCF to the SCF. CONSTITUTION: The SCF installed in a lower end of a body of an imaging device secondly feeds papers. A control unit(100) installed in the body of the imaging device controls a printer system. A communication cable(120) connects communication between the SCF and the control unit. A connection line(130) connects the SCF with the control unit. An SCF control unit(110) receives SCF driving data from the control unit, and controls the operation of the SCF.
