PURPOSE: A method for correcting a location estimation error of a user equipment in a CDMA system, and a system therefor are provided to estimate an accurate location of a user terminal by correcting a location estimation error generated by a repeater. CONSTITUTION: A BTS(Base Transceiver Station) examines whether the BTS receives a message of an access channel for location registration of a user equipment from a core network(1120). If so, the BTS detects timing when the message of the random access channel is received(1125). The BTS adds repeater pass path information to the message of the random access channel, and transmits the message to a BSC(Base Station Controller)(1130). The BSC stores the message and user equipment identification information(1135). The BSC examines whether a random user equipment transmits location estimation service request(1140). If so, the BSC searches for a repeater pass path of a signal received from the user equipment by using the stored message(1145). The BSC estimates location of the user equipment by using the retrieved repeater pass path information and error information of a repeater(1150).
