PURPOSE: A disk recording device of car data for recording car data on a disk is provided to record moving images photographed by cameras as well as car data sampled from a car data generator on a disk for a set time when a car accident occurs. CONSTITUTION: A car data generator(111) generates operation-related data of a car. A memory(125) temporarily stores the car data. The first controller(141) inputs the car data, samples the car data at certain time intervals, and stores the sampled data. Plural cameras(181-184) photograph outer situations of the car. A video encoder(175) encodes images photographed by the cameras(181-184) into digital data. A pickup unit(151) records the car data on a disk(195) or reads data recorded on the disk(195). A data decoding/encoding unit(145) decodes inputted data to transmit the data to the pickup unit(151), and encodes the data transmitted from the pickup unit(151). The second controller(142) records the digital data on the disk(195) by receiving a command of the first controller(141).
