<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and/or reproducing device furnished with a lens cleaner suitably used for a recording and/or reproducing device of high density recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The recording and/or reproducing device includes: an optical pickup mechanism 4 which is provided with a pickup base 6 and an objective lens 7 arranged on the pickup base 6 and opposite to a signal recording surface of the recording medium 9 and irradiates the recording medium 9 with a light beam; a loading mechanism 3 which is provided with a holder 16 for holding the the recording medium 9, pulls the holder 16 holding the recording medium 9 into a main body 2 of the device and transports the holder in a direction approaching or separating from the objective lens 7; and a lens cleaner 20 which is provided with a cleaning member 21 arranged on the holder 16 for wiping off a dust, etc., on the objective lens 7 and a turning member 22 for turning the cleaning member 21 in a direction parallel with the transporting direction of the recording medium 9, and is linked with with the transportation of the holder 16 to be retracted from the place on a moving area of the pickup base 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
