<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently assaying the endocrine disruptive effect of a chemical substance after undergoing biological absorption or metabolic process, and to provide a transformed cell usable in the method. <P>SOLUTION: The transformed cell expressing cytochrome P450 and a reporter is provided, where a mammalian-derived cell is transduced with at least one cytochrome expression gene, at least one hormone receptor expression gene and at least one reporter expression gene joined downstream of a transcription control domain containing a hormone response sequence with an expressed hormone receptor bound thereto. Use of this transformed cell enables continuously assaying the endocrine disruptive effect of a chemical substance after undergoing biological absorption or metabolic process in the identical cell. Furthermore, use of a compound culture system comprising a culture system including the thus obtained cell and a cell having the function of absorbing the chemical substance enables continuously and efficiently assaying the endocrine disruptive effect of the chemical substance after undergoing biological absorption or metabolic process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
