<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the return of a non-contact information recording medium (a token) when using the medium for a short-period ticket such as an ordinary train ticket. <P>SOLUTION: An automatic ticket gate machine comprises an inlet installed in the main body of the gate machine to insert the medium; a recovery means for executing prescribed arithmetic processing, based on data recorded on the medium inserted into the inlet and recovering the medium which has been completed the arithmetic processing into the main body of the gate machine; a door driving means for opening a door when it is determined that the entrance should be permitted, according to the result of the arithmetic processing, and closing the door when it is determined that the exiting should not be permitted, according to the result of the arithmetic result; and an eject means for generating the medium with the prescribed data recorded thereon and ejecting it at an outlet installed in the main body of the gate machine, when the exit is not permitted, according to the result of the arithmetic processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
