<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which can suppress an induction voltage decrease at a non-contact tag. <P>SOLUTION: The consumable article container has a memory circuit equipped with a memory, an antenna capable of carrying out non-contact communication with an external transmitting receiving part, and a control part for controlling the non-contact communication and controlling access to the memory. The memory circuit has a plurality of modes including an ID information confirmation mode for confirming ID information of the consumable article container through communication of the transmitting receiving part with the memory circuit, and a low power consumption mode in which the function of the control part is lowered.
