PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the casing of a portable telephone foldable into half which can secure the wiring space of a unit connecter between casings and also has high rigidity. SOLUTION: In the portable telephone foldable into half, a second casing 2 housing electronic components 2a such as a substrate 2a and having a hinge 4 at its end is coupled with a first casing 1 housing an electronic component 1a in the same way and having a hinge 4 before its end via a rotatably movable portion of the hinge 4. In this telephone, the first casing 1 is composed of an upper side body case 11 including the hinge 4 and an upper side additional case 12 mounted on the case 11 so as to go over the hinge 4, and the end of a hinge cover 11a provided on the case 11 and having a side cross-section forming substantially semicircular is fixed on the case 12 by hooking.
