PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a canister deformation preventive means for preventing the trunk part of a canister from being deformed due to welding of a primary lid. SOLUTION: This means is equipped with an annular body 10 for covering the upper end whole surface of a cask 7 stored with the canister, a tubular body 11 connected to an inner rim portion of the annular body 10 and fittable into an upper end part of the trunk part 1 of the canister stored in the cask 7, and a plurality of engagement parts 12 connected to an outer rim part of the annular body 10 and capable of contacting with a prescribed position of an upper end peripheral surface of the cask 7. An upper end inside surface of the trunk part 1 is held on an outside surface of the cask 7 by means of the tubular body 11, the annular body 10, and the engagement parts 12, to prevent the trunk part 1 from being deformed due to the welding of the primary lid 5. Transmission of radiation from the inner side of the cask 7 to the exterior is prevented by the tubular body 11 and the annular body 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
