PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying device enabling an increase in treatment capacity and a reduction in size according to the increase in the treatment capacity. SOLUTION: In this drying device, a device body 2 having a receiving port 21 at one end and a discharge port 22 at the other end is disposed sideways rotatably about the axis thereof. An agitating member 5 is installed in the device body 2, and materials to be dried charged from the receiving port 21 into the device body 2 are dried by hot air led into the device body while being agitated by the agitating member 5 and discharged from the discharge port 22 through a discharge dam 6. At least one middle dam 7 is installed midway in the device body 2, and a cutout for transporting the dried materials is formed at least at a part of the middle dam 7.
