PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for a mold and a mold obtained by using the composition with which the fluidity of kneaded sand using synthetic mullite sand after recovering or after regenerating and the strength of the obtained mold can drastically be improved, in the molding of the mold performing the molding by using the synthetic mullite sand as the molding sand and water-soluble alkali resol resin as a binder and hardening such binder with organic ester compound. SOLUTION: The ratio of Na content in the whole metallic content contained in the resin composition for mold, is set to be≥90% expressed in terms of molar ratio. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
