PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely control knocking control of an internal combustion engine in accordance with determination probability. SOLUTION: A value RETG (KNKPROB) which is smaller when determination probability KNKPROB is larger is retrieved from RETG table based on the determination probability KNKPROB which is determined that there is knocking and is set as delay gain RETGAIN(j) set when it is determined that there is knocking (S71, S72). A value ADVG(KNKPROB) which is larger when the determination probability KNKPROB is larger is retrieved from ADVG table based on the determination probability KNKPROB and is set as advance gain ADVGAIN(j) set when it is determined that there is no knocking.
