PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger for a molten salt in which the service life is prolonged by preventing corrosion without deterioration in heat exchange capacity and the elution of Fe into the molten salt is effectively prevented. SOLUTION: A base metal of the air-cooled heat exchanger 10, which is immersed in a molten salt 30 and cools the molten salt 30 by a gaseous refrigerant internally circulated, is composed of iron or stainless steel. The outside surface and inside surface of the base metal are subjected to hot dip aluminum plating and both surfaces thereof are covered by alloy layers of the material constituting the base meal and the Al.
