PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive unit capable of effectively controlling a temperature rise in an optical pickup at low cost. SOLUTION: This optical disk drive unit is provided with: a turntable 3 on which a disk 5 is mounted; a disk clamper 6 for holding the disk 5 between the turntable 3 and itself; the optical pickup 7 arranged laterally of the turntable 3 and irradiating the bottom surface of the disk 5 with laser beams; and a fin 4 provided in the turntable 3 to blow cooling wind to the optical pickup 7.
