PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for assaying cell activation in high sensitivity. SOLUTION: The method for assaying cell activation comprises the following practice: A cell culture is carried out as follows: cells are immobilized on an assay chip for detecting its mass change, a stimulating substance such as endotoxin is given to the cells and an inhibitive substance as a substance inhibiting a high-molecular substance produced in the cells by the stimulating substance from running out of the cells. Conventionally, since such an assay has been carried out without giving any inhibitive substance, only the initial stage of activation could be observed; but by the above method, long-term observation can be made.
