<p>The clamping mechanism (1) consists of two work piece receptacles to hold one work piece (2,3) each in a precise position. Either work piece (2,3) receptacle comprises a mechanical fence to position the work piece (2,3) and a clamping element to fix the work piece (2,3) in a precise position. The mechanical fence comprises protruding positioning pins (17), which fit into recesses of the work pieces (2,3). The clamping elements consist of solenoids and are moveable towards one another. The clamping elements also pivot around a swivel joint relatively to one another. Alternatively one clamping element is hydraulically or pneumatically lowerable relative to the position of the other clamping element.</p> |
