PURPOSE: A method for guiding a power-saving mode of an image display device is provided to prevent that the image display device enters in the power-saving mode in a state in which a user does not recognize the power-saving mode by guiding the power-saving mode to the user before the image display device enters in the power-saving mode. CONSTITUTION: A controller checks whether a signal indicating the entrance of a power-saving mode is generated(202). If the signal is generated, the controller guides the entrance of the power-saving mode(204,206,208). The controller enters in the power-saving mode(210). The guide is performed during a certain time before the power-saving mode enters. The signal is at least one or more of a vertical synchronous signal and a horizontal synchronous signal. |
