<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can measure wind even when an error in a beam direction occurs. <P>SOLUTION: The device comprises a reference signal generating part 1, a transmitting part 2 which generates a laser beam synchronized with the reference signal, a transmit beam scanning part 3 which emits the laser beam into the air as a transmit beam, a receive beam scanning part 4 which forms a receive beam in a direction crossing to the transmit beam and receives the laser beam reflected by the air at the position where the transmit beam and the receive beam intersect each other, and a receiving part 5 which generates a receiving signal by amplifying the received laser beam and converting frequency thereof. The device also comprises a strength calculation means which calculates a doppler velocity of the air by applying signal processing to the receiving signal and the strength of the signal, and a transmit beam detecting part 7 which adjusts the beam directions of the transmit beam scanning part 3 and the receive beam scanning part to the directions of the transmit beam and the receive beam when the maximum receiving strength is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
