PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication confirmation system capable of protecting secret information stored in a portable information processor based on a result of authentication confirmation. SOLUTION: This authentication confirmation system 1 authenticates, when a battery pack 11 in the portable information processor 10 is charged with a charging apparatus 30, whether or not the charging is performed with the charging apparatus 30 connected to the portable information processor 10 at the time of initial setting by a valid user. As the result of authentication, when it is determined that the processor 10 is connected to a charging apparatus different from the charging apparatus 30 connected at the time of initial setting, or cannot be authenticated (rejection of authentication), the memory area of a memory in which personal and secret information are stored is erased.
