PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pin driver in which power efficiency and durability are improved compared with the conventional pin driver. SOLUTION: A pin driver 30 is provided with a pin 40, electrodes 51 and 52 which support the pin 40 so that it moves along the extended directions indicated by arrows 40a and 40b, and a unidirectional shape memory alloy springs 55 and 56 which are engaged with the pin 40. A current path 71 is formed via the pin 40, the electrodes 51, and the spring 55, and a current path 72 is formed via the pin 40, the electrode 52, and the spring 56. The pin 40 is provided with an insulation film 43 which shuts off the path 71 when the pin 40 itself is present at a prescribed location with respect to the electrodes 51 and 52 and an insulation film 44 which shuts off the path 72 when the pin 40 itself is present at the prescribed location with respect to the electrodes 51 and 52.
