PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a grid for a storage battery which is formed by a rotary expanding system and stable in life performance, overcoming a disadvantage of a shorter life caused by the local corrosion of a bar of the grid when the grid is used for a positive pole plate for the storage battery, because, in the grid formed by the rotary expanding system using a metal sheet, a bent portion remains at the bar and high strain exists at the bent portion. SOLUTION: The bar of the grid formed by the rotary expanding system is pressed by a roll press to be 110% or more but 150% or less in the thickness of the sheet as compared with that before working.
