PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device of a guide shaft capable of locking the guide shaft on a specific position of a guide support with simple operation. SOLUTION: A spindle 10 is mounted on the guide support 1 in parallel with a guide shaft 6, and a vertically rotatable locking plate 1 is mounted on the spindle 10. An opening 14 is formed on the locking plate 13 in a state that it faces downward to a guide support 1 side with respect to the spindle 10 in a free state. A releasing arm part 16 is formed continuously from an upper edge part 15 of the opening 14. An internal corner part of a side part at a side opposite to the releasing arm part 16, of the opening 14 has an upper semicircular arc part 17, a lower semicircular arc part 18 and a hook part 19. An inclination part 20 is formed from a tip of the hook part 19 to an outer side of the lower semicircular arc part 18. A shortest distance between the tip of the hook part 19 and the releasing arm part 16, and a shortest distance between the tip and an upper edge part of the hook part 19 are longer than a diameter of the guide shaft 6. The inclination part 20 is constituted to rotate the locking plate 13 in the direction to move the upper semicircular arc part 17 upward, when the inclination part is pressed by the guide shaft from a lower part.
