PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing device for packing easily and for repeatedly using a packing sheet material and a joint for packing. SOLUTION: The first and the second joint beams 3, 4 are protrusively provided on the peripheral edge of a sheet material main body 2 structuring each packing sheet material (P<SB>1</SB>-P<SB>6</SB>) for packing covering the whole periphery of an item 1 to be packed. Each of the sheet materials (P<SB>1</SB>-P<SB>6</SB>) contacts mutually at right angles on the protrusive part of the beams to be connected using a joint C<SB>1</SB>for packing at the contacting point.
