PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a mechanism of, to facilitate adjustment of and to miniaturize devices of a printer which prints on a sheet of a booklet. SOLUTION: In the case of carrying out maintenance of a nozzle face (a) of an inkjet head 2, a carrier 1 is moved by a motor 9 from the position of a transfer path 13 to the position of a maintenance part 12. At this time, a projecting roller 4b held by a divided card holder 5 hits against a stopper 14, whereby the divided card holder 5 is opened and the maintenance part 12 is brought in contact to the nozzle face (a). Maintenance is carried out accordingly. In the case of printing to the sheet of the booklet 16, the divided card holder 5 is adhered by a spring 6 to a card holder 3, thereby preventing the nozzle face (a) and the book-shaped sheets of papers 16 from contacting each other. A projecting roller 4a and the projecting roller 4b prevent ink printed by the inkjet head 2 to the sheet of the booklet 16 from being transferred to the card holder 3 and the divided card holder 5.
