PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support diagnosis for positional shifting of a camera caused by aged deterioration of a stereo camera carried on a robot device or overturning of a robot body. SOLUTION: A diagnosis mat has texture to prevent wrong matching in diagnosis and calibration such as a random dot pattern, fractal, a nature drawing, and a uniform pattern without repetition. A robot set on the diagnosis mat takes an attitude suitable for photographing the diagnosis mat, a distance image is generated from an image obtained in the stereo camera, and the performance of the stereo camera is verified on the basis of the flatness of the diagnosis mat obtained from the distance image.
