PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excessive tension preventing and training device for a pet, capable of utilizing conventional collars, harnesses and leads, and capable of bringing up and training the pet, by making a sound of which the frequency, tone color and sound volume are changed and generating vibration, so as to give the pet a warning. SOLUTION: This excessive tension preventing and training device for the pet is composed of a collar mounting tool to which the collar or the harness of the pet is attached, a lead mounting tool to which the lead is attached, a switch which is turned to on and energizes, when a distance between the collar mounting tool and the lead mounting tool becomes not less than a specified distance or force acting between the collar mounting tool and the lead mounting tool becomes not less than a specific value, a soundmaker which makes the sound, when supplied with electricity through the switch, and an electric source which supplies the electricity to the soundmaker through the switch.
