PURPOSE: A functional drink prepared using vegetables containing germanium which are obtained by applying germanium ores to vegetables during the cultivation is provided. It is effective in preventing aging and slowering the progress of osteoporosis. CONSTITUTION: The functional drink is prepared using germanium-containing vegetables which are obtained by applying germanium ores to vegetables during the cultivation. The vegetables contain asparagus, lettuce, mustard, kale, beats or the like. The efficacy of germanium-containing vegetables is verified by measuring the amount of metallothionein, enzyme activity or the like of Sprague-Dawley rats.
