<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regenerated carbon-containing brick having remarkably improved spalling resistance as compared to the conventional one (conventional regenerated carbon-containing brick) by setting the elastic modulus after heating to equal to or below a fixed value to effectively use spent carbon-containing brick and a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the regenerated carbon-containing brick composed of a raw material mixture containing a pulverized material of the spent waste carbon-containing brick (or the pulverized material and an alkali metal compound) at least in a part, the regenerated carbon-containing brick after being heated at 1,500°C 3hr under a reducing atmosphere has ≤30 GPa elastic modulus.
