PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the life of a normal lamp by respectively detecting troubles of a plurality of lamps which are connected in parallel. SOLUTION: A power supply part 100 supplies voltages to the plurality of lamps 200 which are connected in parallel and drives the lamps. A lamp feedback detection part 300 detects tube currents for flowing through each lamp and in the case that at least one of tube currents is equal to or lower than a certain reference value, a power source blocking signal P1 is outputted and an external power source VIN is blocked by a first switching control part 150 of the power supply part. Thus, as lamp drive is blocked if one of the lamps is released, the influence of the release of a lamp to other lamps can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
