NUCLEAR FUEL SINTER CONTAINING TUNGSTEN METAL MESH AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear fuel sinter containing tungsten metal mesh and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The nuclear fuel sinter is constituted so that tungsten metal maintains a mesh form in the nuclear fuel material and the mesh is formed on the whole or in a partial region inside the sinter constituted with the nuclear fuel material. In this manner, tungsten metal mesh with a superior thermal conduction is contained in the nuclear fuel sinter and so the thermal conductivity of the fuel sinter can be improved. Because of a decrease in the temperature of the nuclear fuel during burning in the reactor, safety of the reactor can be improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
