PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball screw having a long service life even under severe working conditions with high speed rotation. SOLUTION: In a boundary area between a return passage and a ball rolling groove 21, a rising face 27 is formed along a smooth curve recessed from a spiral extension line 21a showing the bottom of the ball rolling groove 21 in such a manner as to smoothly continue to the ball rolling groove 21.
