PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit for controlling a metallic strip shape at a low cost which can cope with meandering and width variation of the metallic strip. SOLUTION: This unit for controlling the metallic strip shape, is provided with a first and a second electric-magnet devices (5) disposed under non-contacting state to the metallic strip at two positions sandwiching the strip center at the strip surface side of the metallic strip (1) projected near the center part and the control unit (3) for controlling the first and the second electric-magnet devices so as to reduce the warping of the metallic strip.
