PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To tension the whole side part of a shirt sideways along a curved line at a low cost and speedily in a shirt press-finishing machine with a torso. SOLUTION: The torso tensioning mechanism of the shirt press-finishing machine is mounted on either side of the torso 2 to wear the shirt 1 for tensioning a side of the shirt 1 worn by the torso 2 sideways from the torso 2. An arcuate member 3 with a recessed surface facing a side of the torso 2 is mounted on the torso tensioning mechanism vertically in such a way that it can overhang sideways from the torso 2. A flexible wire member 4 is stretched between upper and lower ends of the arcuate member 3 to be applied to the inner surface of the side of the shirt 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
