PURPOSE: To increase removing efficiency of foreign materials and prevent foreign materials from being added to the inside of alkali tank by mechanically removing foreign materials such as paper proceeded with being stuck to strip by brush. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a moving part comprising guiding rails (10) installed on the bottom of degreasing apparatus with being directed to strip, a moving member (12) moved along the guiding rails at the side surface of the guiding rails, and a driving cylinder (13) installed on the guiding rails to move the moving member; and a paper removing part comprising a vertical plate (20) vertically installed on an upper part of the moving member, a horizontal member (21) installed at the vertical plate and laid down in a width direction of strip, a plurality of driving motors (22) installed on the back side of the horizontal member with being spaced apart from each other in a certain distance, and rotary brushes (23) installed on rotary shaft of the driving motors in front of the horizontal member to wipe the surface of strip so that paper stuck to the surface of strip is removed, wherein the removing part further comprises a widthwise moving means comprising a guide rod (30) for supportingly guiding the horizontal member, and operation cylinders (32) for sliding supporting members (31) along the guide rod to move the horizontal member in a width direction of strip, and wherein the widthwise moving means further comprises a rack bar on which rack (40) is formed, a pinion gear (42) engaged with the rack, and a rotation amount measuring sensor installed at bracket (44).
