PURPOSE: A semiconductor device is provided to prevent attack of chemicals into a peripheral region by forming double fences of trapezoid shape at interface between a cell region and the peripheral region. CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor device is provided with a substrate defined by a cell region and a peripheral region(41). The semiconductor device further includes a capacitor having a cylindrical storage node(43) formed on the cell region and double fences(42) of trapezoid shape. The double fences is formed at interface between the cell and peripheral region.
