<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength band type optical communication method capable of improving an apparent communication speed by controlling the number of wavelengths being solely possessed at the same time without changing a communication speed for one line and transmitting data in parallel in a plurality of lines of optical communication. <P>SOLUTION: Available wavelength regions are divided into wavelength bands used for transmission of control signals, wavelength bands for transmitting data and wavelength bands are assigned for each user for the transmission of control signals, and the wavelength band for data transfer used by the user is instructed by using the wavelength band. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
